Dear friends,
With a month-old baby, the physical signs of broken sleep are all around my house: piles of swaddles, dishes in the sink, and bags under my eyes.
Probably, there are signs of broken sleep in this newsletter too. Misplaced commas. Bad punctuation. Convoluted ideas. Lack of formatting. Fragments.
Some days, I feel sorta broken. Lack of time. Lack of sleep. Worn down from the crying. For season 3 of this publication I’ve decided ambitiously to tackle writing about living prophetically when I am mostly just trying to live, in a time of major transition. All this to say, I will resume the living prophetically series write-up later in the summer when I’ve had more time to digest the notes from the retreat and think clearly about the framework of Hadith Jibril. This season I hope to include deeper dives into islam (with a small i or external practice), iman (inner dimension of faith), ihsan (excellence and application of islam and iman).
